Consultant Front Office - Tips and Tricks #1
Knowing a few shortcuts in a program like Consultant Front Office can speed up day-to-day tasks and make the program more fun to use. Whether you're transitioning from a previous version of our software or from some other system, here are a few tips and tricks to make using our software just a little easier!
Next time you want to view or edit one of your contacts try this:
Scrolling Through Contacts
With the Edit Contacts window open you can scroll through your contacts by:
Faster Sales Screen Loading
Setting the "Current Time Period" at the top of the program to the year you're currently working on and then checking the box on the Sales screen that reads "Only show records within the Current Time Period". This will tell the program to skip records outside of the Current Time Period, allowing it to load more quickly, especially if you have a lot of records from previous years. This same trick will also work on the Purchases and Income / Expenses screens.
Creating New Groups and Categories
"Categories" are used in several areas of the program to group records together. The software comes with some categories and groups already set up but you can create your own and easily move records from one category or group to another, using the Categories menu in the upper left corner of the program.
MapQuest Directions and Maps
To the right of to the "City / St / Postal" entry boxes on the Edit Contact screen is a small picture of a red and blue car. Clicking on this picture opens your Internet browser to MapQuest directions and a map to the person's address currently shown on the screen.
